Warranty

Our watches are all made according to the high-quality standards of James Lucy which is why your watch is covered by our 10-year limited warranty against any defects in manufacturing:
 
Warranty term: 10 (ten) years from the original date of purchase. Upon expiration of the warranty period, any repairs will be subject to a service charge.
 
This warranty covers only defects caused during the manufacturing of the watch itself (movement, case, glass).
Other parts that are not listed are not covered by this warranty.
If the product is returned during the warranty period, James Lucy will repair or replace any defective watch or watch-part, at no additional expense, within a reasonable time, after the product is returned. However, the customer will be subject to the costs of shipping the product to James Lucy.
James Lucy will cover the cost of returning the watch to the customer.
 
To make a claim under the warranty, please email us using the address on the "contact us" page. In the e-mail please include your name, address, order number and details/photos of the issue. Please write ‘Warranty Claim’ as the subject of the e-mail.
 
Please note that the below issues are not covered under the warranty, and will be charged for once confirmed by the customer to proceed:
- Damage caused by modification or repair by anyone other than a James Lucy approved repairer
- ‘Normal wear and tear’ and ‘ageing’ (minor scratches, etc. on the case and/or glass, fading of the colour on the case or strap, and peeling of the IP plating)
- Damage caused by fire or water, or natural disaster
- Damage caused by improper use or carelessness (scratches, dents, bending, broken glass, etc.).
The warranty validity is at the complete discretion of James Lucy.

Battery:
The battery in your James Lucy watch is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase. If the watch stops in this time, please return it to us for a free replacement. Please note that the cost of shipping the watch to James Lucy is to be borne by the customer. James Lucy will cover the cost of returning the watch to you after the battery replacement.

Straps:
The strap on your James Lucy watch is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase. If the strap or buckle breaks in this time, please return it to us for a free replacement. Please note that the cost of shipping the watch to James Lucy is to be borne by the customer. James Lucy will cover the cost of returning the watch to you after the battery replacement.
 
Please note that the below issues are not covered under the warranty, and will be charged for once confirmed by the customer to proceed:
- Damage caused by modification or repair by anyone other than a James Lucy approved repairer
- ‘Normal wear and tear’ and ‘ageing’ (minor scratches, etc. on the strap, fading or discolouration of the colour of the strap)
- Damage caused by fire or water, or natural disaster
- Damage caused by improper use or carelessness (scratches, tears, etc.).
The warranty validity is at the complete discretion of James Lucy.

Any warranty claim will be invalid if:

- The retail store and the purchase date are not indicated on the receipt, or if this information has been rewritten
Please also note:
The dial, case, hands, glass, strap or other parts thereof may be replaced with substitutes if the originals are not available.
 
If purchasing a James Lucy watch from an e-commerce platform such as Amazon, or an unauthorised third party vendor, there is a risk of receiving a timepiece that is counterfeit, used or defective. James Lucy will not honour any warranty claims for watches purchased from an unauthorised retailer.
 
This warranty warrants that you can receive free replacement in accordance with the terms set forth herein and within the specified term, and shall not restrict any lawful right of the Customer.
James Lucy reserves the right to amend the terms of this warranty at any time.
